Great food, great wine, great ambiance. You definitely need a reservation because this place fills up fast.
We came two days in a row because it was so good. We got the anchovies with butter (simple but amazing), shrimp risotto, fried chicken and artichoke, beef stew...ok, we got a lot, and it was all amazing.
The service is great. We were a bit rushed at the end cuz this place is hopping, and they needed to turn tables. -

We decided to come here after searching #florencefood on Instagram and came upon the photos of the duck pappardelle that looked amazing. They open at 7:30pm and usually all the tables are booked prior to opening as the restaurant is on the smaller side. You can usually get a seat for 9pm. We went around opening and made an in person reservation for the following night. It was very easy to do.
The wine selection was great. We each had 3 very good glasses of Chianti for about 4 euros/glass. We shared the burrata, which was very fresh. I ended up getting the duck pappardelle that tasted even better than the photos looked. My friend got the ravioli, which she believed was the best pasta she had all of Italy, taking the place of the Gnocchi from Etabli in Rome. We also split the fried artichoke and chicken entree. It was salty, crispy and just right!!! Even though we were so full, we decided to check out the raspberry tiramisu, which was on the creamier side! Our bill including 6 glasses of wine, 1 appetizer, 2 pasta entrees, 1 other entree and 1 dessert was around 88 euros. We still can't believe it was 44 euros per person. I've paid 90 dollars per person for way less food and drinks at italian restaurants in NYC.
I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Florence and will recommend this to all my friends and family. -

My favorite restaurant in Florence. Note: you NEED to make a reservation ahead of time, as it's a teeny tiny hole in the wall kind of place.
I love the vibe here: it's like everyone knows each other. We had the best ravioli here, and the steak was excellent as well. For dessert we had the last piece of tiramisu they had, which was perfect. I want to go back! -

Only had a really short trip in Florence due to some flight problems and the restaurant was able to change our reservation to the next day. They were super nice and accommodating with our flight difficulties.
We were seated super quick after we arrived and the service was fast and the staff were really sweet.
We started the meal with bruschetta, which was really flavorful, the bread was harder than most which we liked and it was fresh made. For our main dishes, we knew which pastas we wanted to try but were unsure about which entree to chose. We went with their recommendation, the osso buco. The meat was perfectly cooked, delicious, and melted in your mouth. If you go this is a must try.
The only miss for the meal was the dessert. The taste of the tiramisu was delicious but it was late in the night and it was the last part of the batch so there was more cream than actual cake. It was still delicious and the only critique I have of the whole meal. -

One of our absolute favorites in Florence. We went twice on our most recent trip -- first time, we got the bruschetta, mixed meats, duck pappardelle, paccheri with saffron and zucchini flowers, ossobuco, fried chicken with zucchini flowers, and the gelato cake. Second time, we got the bruschetta, caprese, the same two pastas, the beef stew, and the tiramisu.
The two pastas are both outstanding, but while I love the paccheri, the pappardelle is one of my favorites at any restaurant anywhere. I'd definitely like to try others, but these are both hard to pass up.
The bruschetta and the meats are also hard to pass up -- both are among the best versions of those dishes I can remember eating.
We also loved both desserts. Neither of us are really into tiramisu, but the one here is amazing, and the gelato cake is as well.
On the entrees, I think my order would be: fried chicken, ossobuco, beef stew. Again, though, all three were outstanding and I'd get any of them again in a heartbeat. (The beef stew was actually my wife's favorite.)
Overall, an incredible restaurant, and one of our absolute favorites in Florence.
